Ski Val d'Isere-7 Nights* - Self Catered

Resort Information   Star Rating Beginners Intermediate Advanced     Snow Report Après ski Chic resort Great powder
A world famous resort at the head of the Tarentaise valley, Val D' Isere continues to be one of France's premier winter resorts. It is a sprawling and vibrant town, built around a charming old village with an 11th-century church. Val d’Isère meanders for a couple of kilometres from the purpose-built hamlet of La Daille to the old houses of Le Fornet, but its heart is in the middle at Val Village. The resort’s free bus service, known as the train rouge, runs every few minutes from one end to the other. Aside of its skiing, Val d'Isere is as famous for its chic nightlife, wild parties and smart clientele. The apres ski covers the range of lively nightspots to bars, to traditional restaurants and cosy creperies.

The resort boasts one of the world's fastest furnaculars, an outstanding ski school and the world famous Olympic downhill run 'The Face'. Combined with the neighbouring resort of Tignes, Val offers skiers the vast possibilities that are Espace Killy. This best suits a breed of dedicated enthusiast that seeks thrills and spills, as well as some fine powder-bashing. The resort's high level of quality chalets and hotels ensures it is as popular with us Brits as the resort of Meribel is. However it still attracts a huge French following too - who quite rightly view it, along with Chamonix, as one of the top two French resorts for serious skiers.
